This web page contains instructions, useful links, program information and contact information which you will need in order to participate in the "Commit to Your Health Affiliate Program" which is dubbed "Project Independence".
Project Independence was first thought of in 2005, the creator, Kerry Westfall, had a vision of creating something which would help and inspire everyone. The first task was to create a non-profit, charitable corporation, whose primary goal was to finance medical research projects as well as other similar charitable organizations. This task was completed in 2006 and the Westfall Foundation was born.
The second task was to create a work of inspiration which will help people of all ages and backgrounds, regardless of medical conditions and/or mobility iissues. This task was completed in 2008 and the "Commit to Your Health" DVD was born.
The third task was/is to support the medical research community by way of making research grants and supporting other charitable projects. This task starts when you sign up for the "Commit to Your Health Affiliate Program".

PROGRAM SPECIFICS
This is a modified 'affiliate advertising' platform, here is a standard definition.
Affiliate Marketing is an Internet-based marketing practice in which a business rewards one or more affiliates for each visitor or customer brought about by the affiliate's marketing efforts.
The Affiliate Marketing industry has four core players at its heart: the Merchant, the Network, the Publisher and the Consumer. The market has grown sufficiently in complexity to warrant a secondary tier of players, including Affiliate Management Agencies, Super-Affiliates and Specialized Third Parties vendors.
Affiliate marketing overlaps with other Internet marketing methods to some degree, because affiliates often use regular advertising methods. Those methods include organic search engine optimization, paid search engine marketing, e-mail marketing, and in some sensedisplay advertising. On the other hand, affiliates sometimes use less orthodox techniques, such as publishing reviews of products or services offered by a partner.
Affiliate marketing—using one website to drive traffic to another—is a form of online marketing, which is frequently overlooked by advertisers.[citation needed] While search engines, e-mail, and website syndication capture much of the attention of online retailers, affiliate marketing carries a much lower profile. Still, affiliates continue to play a significant role in e-retailers' marketing strategies.[1]
The 'Commit to Your Health' affiliate program uses this standard model except instead of paying commissions to the individuals, affiliates make sales to support the charity of their choice.
Affiliates make sales commissions by advertising 'Commit to Your Health' and when a sale is made (by a consumer following the link on the marketing material) a percentage is donated to the affiliates selected beneficiary.
The success of this campaign is dependent on how many participants are actively making saleS.
Scenario:
User X becomes an affiliate for the “Commit to Your Health” DVD program and chooses “Friedreichs Ataxia Research Alliance (FARA)” as their beneficiary.
The first month, his advertising brings in $5000 in DVD Sales. So the distribution is 80% to Friedreichs Ataxia Research Alliance (FARA) ($4000) in User Xs name, and 20% to WF Grant pool ($1000). The donation to Friedreichs Ataxia Research Alliance (FARA) will be made using User Xs name for tax reasons.
MARKETING IDEAS
The idea is to make everyone aware of this effort so we can simultanously raise funds and raise awareness of our cause, so, it is a good idea to target high-profile people, such as celebrities, politicians, user groups, media and publications.
Universities, Trade schools, public schools, community colleges and any institution of learning will love this as the primary objective is to educate.
Sports outlets such as stadiums or local teams, approach players, coaches-- anyone involved is sports management from Little Leagues to Professional levels.
Social Networking sites such as MySpace, Facebook, Craigslist, Tagged etc are all HUGE sources of people, in fact, Facebook and MySpace both claim over 200 million active members.
